About the Journal

The Journal of Social Inquiry and Perspectives (JSIP) is a peer-reviewed journal that serves as a platform for interdisciplinary research in the fields of social sciences and humanities. The journal publishes empirical and theoretical studies that examine society and human life from diverse scholarly perspectives.

JSIP publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, literature reviews, and case studies in areas such as sociology, anthropology, history, communication and language in society, education, social economy, organizational and business management, development studies, community well-being, and digital transformation. The journal encourages contributions that integrate multiple disciplines to gain a deeper understanding of social phenomena and human experience.

By combining inquiry and perspectives, JSIP seeks to advance knowledge on the dynamics of social life, collective experience, and the evolving role of language and culture in society. The journal is open to innovative methodologies and critical approaches that bridge the analytical rigor of the social sciences with the interpretive depth of the humanities.

Publication Frequency

The Journal of Social Inquiry and Perspectives (JSIP) is published three times a year (triannually) — in February, June, and October. Articles are published online immediately after acceptance and completion of the editorial process.

Language Policy

To broaden readership and encourage cross-contextual scholarly exchange, the Journal of Social Inquiry and Perspectives (JSIP) accepts manuscripts written in Bahasa Indonesia and English. The journal encourages contributions that present locally grounded analyses with broader relevance for national and international audiences, and may periodically publish selected issues entirely in English.

EISSN, Indexing, and Open Access Policy

JSIP is registered with E-ISSN (Online) numbers [xxxxxxx].
All articles are published under an Open Access model, allowing unrestricted access, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. The journal adheres to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) principles.
JSIP is in the process of being indexed in major databases such as Google Scholar, Crossref, Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital), and DOAJ.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

To ensure the sustainability of its publication, the Journal of Social Inquiry and Perspectives (JSIP) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) for each manuscript accepted for publication. This fee supports all publishing activities, including the editorial process, DOI registration, hosting services, technical support, and long-term archiving. The journal does not impose a submission fee; authors are required to pay the APC only after their manuscripts have been accepted for publication.
