Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) in promoting digital payment transformation in North Sumatra. The research employs a qualitative approach with an exploratory evaluative design to understand the experiences, interpretations, and perceived impacts among business owners after adopting QRIS. Data were collected through interviews with MSME owners who had used QRIS for at least six months and representatives of Bank Indonesia in Medan. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of meaning and key themes emerging from the informants’ experiences. The findings indicate that QRIS adoption is perceived to facilitate transactions, improve financial record-keeping efficiency, and expand access to non-cash consumers. However, the level of utilization remains influenced by digital literacy, internet network quality, and the intensity of educational support received by business actors. These findings suggest that the digital payment transformation of MSMEs depends not only on the availability of technological infrastructure but also on institutional support and users’ readiness to integrate digital payment systems into their daily business practices.
